Submissions closed at 12:00PM 17 November 2020 (AEDT).

AgriFutures Australia currently has two positions open to exporters, agronomists, hay processors and animal nutritionists with direct experience in export fodder production.

About the Export Fodder Program

The AgriFutures Export Fodder Program aims to invest in research, development and extension (RD&E) that harnesses leading edge technologies to develop competitive advantage in export fodder markets.

AgriFutures Australia receives the export fodder levy to invest in line with the industry objectives of the five-year RD&E plan which has a focus on RD&E to develop new varieties of oaten hay for export markets, optimise current varieties via agronomic controls, chemical use integrity, fodder analysis, animal nutrition, biosecurity and work health and safety.

About the Advisory Panel

The Advisory Panel predominately consists of fodder exporters with significant experience in the production and export areas of the industry, together with a representative from AgriFutures Australia.

The Advisory Panel, in partnership with AgriFutures Australia, provides recommendations on the allocation of RD&E funding for the AgriFutures Australia Export Fodder Program.

Members of the Panel will be recompensed for their services to AgriFutures Australia at rates determined by the Commonwealth’s Remuneration Tribunal. Panel members may be required for up to 20 days per year and some travel is necessary. Please note that Advisory Panels do not hold financial delegations. Panel members are entitled to sitting fees for meetings and travel expenses.
