ABOUT THE FUTURE YOUNG LEADERS PROGRAM

The 2024 Future Young Leaders Program is designed to build the capacity and capability of Australian, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific’ future and emerging leaders, who are dedicated to the continuous improvement and prosperity of our rural industries.

The program provides a platform for participants to share their ideas, innovations, research projects and passion for agriculture, to deliver, develop, adopt and export agrifood innovation to our rural communities and the world.

Five individuals will be selected to form the 2024 cohort of Future Young Leaders, receiving mentoring from an industry professional to attend evokeAG. 2024 in Perth and to develop a strategy to achieve their goals.

The program mentor will work with the Future Young Leaders pre, during, and post-event, workshopping their key messages, innovation, or research to determine a clear goal, connecting them with likeminded people and encouraging them to utilise the opportunity to showcase themselves and what they are trying to achieve.

Their post-event strategic planning will be accompanied by a final targeted placement or learning and development opportunity.

This year, potential leaders are asked to answer the question “What is your exceptional edge and how are you using this edge to contribute to the future of our rural communities, innovation or research?” in a 60 second video pitch.

Hint: also check the email hasn't landed in your spam or junk email folder.

ATTACHMENTS AND SUPPORT DOCUMENTS

You may need to upload/submit attachments to support your application. This is very simple but requires you to have the documents saved on your computer, or on a storage device.

You need to allow enough time for each file to upload before trying to attach another file. Files can be up to 25MB each; however, we do recommend trying to keep files to a maximum of 5MB – the larger the file, the longer the upload time.

COMPLETING AN APPLICATION IN A GROUP/TEAM

A number of people can work on an application using the same log in details as long as only one person is working at a time. Ensure you save as you go.

SPELL CHECK

Most internet browsers (including Firefox v2.0 and above; Safari; and Google Chrome) have spell checking facilities built in – you can switch this function on or off by adjusting your browser settings.
